Demetra Meet The Farmers Food Tour

Chianti “Meet The Farmers” Food Tour

Spend a day in the countryside with Demetra. Visit a cheese farm, honey and wine farm, an artisan pasta factory, and an extra virgin olive oil producer. Meet the owners who will explain the age old traditions that have been passed through generations of their family, that have been entrusted to them today, that they hope to pass onto their children in the future. Taste the fresh produce at its place of origin.
A wonderful farmhouse lunch is included and of course a day in the countryside wouldn’t be complete without tasting the local wines along the way.

Demetra Chianti Wine Tour

Chianti Wine Tour

The production of Chianti wine can be traced back centuries. Applauded by popes, artists and nobleman, the Chianti region has long since been a source of some of Italy’s most sophisticated reds. Join us on a journey to discover the passage of wine making through time, to taste both earthy family blends and award winning wines alike, and to explore the iconic countryside easily identifiable but the cypress lined roads, olive groves and vineyards.
Take a tour of the vineyards and cellars, taste wines from three different estates as well as award winning extra virgin olive oil, and enjoy a typical Tuscan lunch in a countryside farmhouse.
